The reason you have not heard from me yet is I have been madly taking a Creative Writing course at BYU just so I can compete with the superb entries on our family blog. I have decided to give up the course, I just don’t have time, and someone needs to establish that it’s okay to contribute non-publish-worthy blogs. Although, keep the publish-worthy ones coming. I am thoroughly entertained by them and I think Dad/Gramps needs a column in the paper. His entries are every bit as good if not better than Dave B’s.
To bring you up-to-date on our family, our children are dropping like flies; well, growing up and leaving the nest, the most recent being Michelle. She is now at BYU-Idaho and loves every aspect of college. She quickly made new friends (she went up not knowing anyone) 5 of which showed up at our house last weekend. Michelle is very active, in everything, and is currently the reigning champion of “Guitar Hero” both at her dorm and for the entire campus. She also signed up for co-ed Battleship, which I had never heard of but apparently there are teams in canoes with buckets and your team tries to fill other team’s canoes with water until they sink. I think the “co-ed” part of that competition had a lot to do with Michelle signing up.
Well, I’m off to officially drop my Creative Writing class. I’m not sure what Gramps’ request was that my oldest sibling referred to, but the middle child is now off the hook!
