Family Vacation

Joe and I decided at the very last minute, that our little family needed some time away after a looooonng semester. So, last week we took a trip to Cali for some much needed rest and relaxation. Well, that's what we were aiming for, but as most of you know, usually a vacation is needed to recover from vacation. Well, such is the case with us, but we had an absolute blast!! We headed down to to Las Vegas Sunday and spent the evening searching for the Blagio (sp?) so that Luke could see the fountains. Well, apparently my knowledge of the strip is a little rusty, since we walked for four miles from our hotel before we finally found the fountains. We were tired and cranky, but Luke LOVED the 2 minutes of entertainment-(P.S. Has that show always been so short or was it just a one-time thing meant to be a little icing on the cake of our evening) Anyway, after many tears and shoulder rides, we made it back to the hotel and got a much needed rest.
The next day we headed to a resort in Palm Desert for golf, swimming and sun. It was beautiful and we were able to catch up with some friends we had set up- a cadet from West Point and one of my dear nanny friends and their two little kids. After three days, we headed to San Diego for Sea World, which the kids LOVED and then the next day to Disneyland. It was a whirlwind, but a much needed time together.
