Fabulous pics/crackhead gramps

Hi Everyone: Thanks to Michele & Mike for the fabulous pictures. Such beautiful children!!! We will keep you all posted on gramps knee situation and when the surgery will be. In the meantime, his instructions are to keep it wrapped and use two crutches at all times. He's getting pretty good at that and, fortunately, he's an avid reader so we have stocked up on plenty of books. I am going to enlist the help of my home teacher (a high school senior) to help me finish the spring cleanup of the yard. Fortunately, we are to the bark spreading stage and my hand surgery is doing well so we'll have it polished off by next week. We hope to see everyone soon but we will have to play it by ear now and see how things go. The funiest thing happened today in the doctor's office. When Dr. Carroll was explaining what would need to be done, he mentioned that he would give us a prescription for pain to hold dad through the weekend. Dad sat right up and said "I like vicodin"! I burst out laughing and told the doc gramps never takes ANYTHING unless it's forced on him and he doesn't know one drug from another. It popped out of his mouth as if he knows every pain killer on the market. I laughed so hard until pretty soon the doc joined in on the fun and we both laughed our heads off!!! I told him I couldn't wait to get on the family blog and tell you all that your dad/gramps is a druggie!!! Who knew???????????????? Love you all, mom/nana
