July 4th

Thanks to Tam & Kip for, once again, hosting a smashing good time on the 4th. I hope someone shares some pictures of all having a wonderful time, either eating, lolling or swimming. Such fun and such tasty food.This was Katlyn's first year to man the fireworks and a fine job she did, along with help from Scott and Cameron and an assist from Luke. It was great to be with family from all over and Kip's family too. Hello to Suzie who is so far away and missed very much and Corey & Syl and Mike C. who are usually with us but couldn't manage it this year. Erik is with us for another week and a half and then he will return to Oregon with Andrea and give her a hand with the kiddies on the way. Today he and gramps played golf and, from what I can gather, no one in the family need worry about being outdone on the course. Dad had a great time with Tam on the morning of the 4th, playing a round at Tri Cities. Look out Corey, I hear she's pretty good and improving all the time! Today I cleaned the flower beds and got rid of the old dead spring flowers, fertilized the roses and generally spruced things up and then took a turn in the jacuzzi tub to recocover!! Life is good.
