Violet

OK, so I want a hat and a watering can like Violet and I want to look as cute as she does when I'm watering my plants! Not going to happen but I am excited that this week I will get a new rose that I ordered from Heirloom Roses in Oregon between Salem & Portland. It is one of their english country roses and supposed to be very fragrant so I have just the spot for it by the front door and then my garden is full!! This year I am thinning and sharing with the neighbors and anyone else who would like to have ice plant - a spectacular ground cover that closes it's petals at night and goes to bed and then gives an amazing show when the sun hits it again the next day. Cyclamen red! I had a treat today - I talked with Hallie on the 'phone and can hardly wait until they are here. She and I can sit on the porch and chat and drink lemonade. We hear that Paul and Missy will be here soon so we are excited to see them and their sweet kiddies. Erik is coming with them and staying with us for a while so life is good. Love to all. Mom/Nana
